Task

You, the prospective CSUSB ETEC student, will explore the program requirements, meet faculty members, learn from current students, and explore potential jobs. You will also be asked for input by completing assignments throughout the quest. Your ideas will provide feedback necessary to keep the ever-evolving program strong, vital and on the leading edge of educational technology.

Task #	Explanation	Begin Journey
1	Begin by cruising over to the PROCESS PAGE. Carefully read through each step, clicking the yellow school bus to travel from location to location. Complete each of the six tasks described below.
2	The second task is for you to become familiar with various definitions of Instructional Technology. Use provided links to understand even more ideas. Which of these diverse and eclectic definitions do you like best? Using a word processing program, construct your own definition of educational/instructional technology.
3	Task three requires you to click the Assessment Bus and complete the accompanying Questionnaire. Carefully read each of the 20 questions. To answer, click the white circle that best describes your educational and trechnological interests and competencies. Your answers will give you better insight into whether or not ETEC is an appropriate field for you to pursue. Keep in mind that ETEC is not for everyone. It is a special niche, for special people.
4	After reviewing some of the dozens of the available instructional technololgist jobs, the fourth task requires using a word processing program to write a short paragraph describing your "dream job."
5	The first part of the fifth task involves personalizing the technology by sending an email to a current student. Introduce yourself and explain that you are taking the ETEC Webquest. You can use this time to ask questions to gain clarification of areas not covered on this quest.
5.5	The second part of the fifth task involves personalizing the technology by sending an email to a CSUSB faculty member. Introduce yourself and explain that you are taking the ETEC Webquest. You can use this time to ask questions to gain clarification of areas not covered on this quest. Also, if you have any constructive advice to make the ETEC program even better, please feel free to include it.
6	The sixth and most crucial task is to download, complete, and submit the CSUSB ETEC admission form.
